Program Description
Smokey Tours is the Tours & Training Desk of World Experience Philippines. Smokey Tours offers tours in Manila. The mission of Smokey Tours is to show our guests ‘the other Manila’ by offering eye-opening tours focussed on experiencing the Filipino life and culture. The tours offered by Smokey Tours are unique and provide guests a complete immersion in the Filipino culture.
The challenges: Since the very beginning, all the proceeds made with the Smokey Mountain Tour has been given to a local NGO. Now Smokey Mountain has closed down and Smokey Tours has created a new slum Tour still near the Smokey Mountain area. This way Smokey Tours contributes in a sustainable way to the life of the local community.
Develop new tours and products, select and educate (new) tour leaders, marketing efforts to make Smokey Tours visible, help with administration and spreading flyers around Metro Manila.
Most of the proceedings will be done at the administrative office which is located in Ali Mall, Cubao, Quezon City. This is a centrally and strategically location at the hub of all modes of land transportation. Both MRT and LRT stations are a 10-minute walk away. All national bus companies covering all points of the Philippines start & end in Cubao, with most terminals walking distance from the office. Taxis, shared taxis (FX’s), mini-buses (jeepneys) and motorized tricycles run 24 hours a day to ensure easy access around the neighbourhood.
