Program Description
Healthcare in Tanzania still needs a lot of improvement. For many people, treatment in the private hospitals are still too expensive and the government hospitals often have too many patients and not enough staff. Volunteers are essential for keeping a hospital running by helping the local doctors and nurses. Your work will be varied, exciting and at times probably exhausting. But every day will be rewarding and satisfying in many different ways. Keep in mind that this program only accepts medical students or medical professionals as we believe that these persons are able to bring a positive change within hospitals and medical centers.
