Program Description
Magodo Children's Home was started in 1990 and registered as a community-based organization. It's main goal is to improve the lives of the less fortunate, vulnerable and destitute children in the society.
It serves 500 non-residential vulnerable poor children and orphans living with their relatives in the nearby slum. It further supports the 80 residential vulnerable orphans and destitute children of Magodo Children's Home and the community at large.
The Children's Home offers shelter, food, clothing, sports, medical care, rehabilitation and counseling at the Center and through house-to-house outreach programs, seminars, workshops etc. Also the complex Centre offers education – primary school (from grade 1 to 8) as well as non-formal education i.e. vocational training, technical training, HIV/AIDS campaigns.
