Israel - Tel Aviv Animal Shelter
Live in the vibrant city of Tel Aviv while volunteering at a local animal shelter that has been open since 1927. It is currently the oldest and largest shelter in the country. The shelter works to end animal homelessness and attempts to rescue as many animals as possible. People from all over the city bring abused or abandoned animals to the shelter to be cared for. The staff at the shelter provides the utmost care for the animals living at the shelter and works to find them a loving home. Volunteers are given an intensive orientation when they first arrive to acquaint them with the shelter and the various protocols. Some of your responsibilities may include walking the dogs, playing with the cats and dogs, and maintaining their enclosures.
