Program Description
Preschool Support:
Moroccan Children's Trust (MCT) is a UK registered charity aiming to achieve sustainable development for young people and their communities in Southern Morocco. Our vision is to create a safe and fulfilling environment in which vulnerable children, who would otherwise live or work on the streets, are able to thrive and grow. MCT coordinates a volunteer project in which we invite young international volunteers to spend time living in Taroudannt and supporting our social development work.
Volunteer role working to support the pre-school teachers at the Centre Amane. You will be responsible for planning and leading activities for 3-5 year olds Monday to Friday in order to prepare them for formal education.
Role responsibilities:
Plan French/Arabic activities with teachers and Teaching Support Volunteer
Prepare activities (obtain materials, plan timings, prepare classroom)
Implement activities for 3-5 year olds with the support of Centre Amane pre-school teacher and assistant
Evaluate activities with teachers

Qualifications
Age 18+ on arrivalFrench and or Arabic level: basic to intermediate
Minimum commitment: 2 months
Empathetic, responsible, pro-active and the ability to deal with unexpected situations and ask for help when necessary.
Patience and a good natured personality
Relevant skills in French/Arabic, Arts/Crafts etc.
Some experience teaching or working with children in some way.
Good team player.
Confidence and high energy levels to deal with children aged 3-5 years old
Empathy for children in difficult situations and a commitment to MCT’s vision
