Children Development

VIN’s mission is the empowerment of marginalised communities, working with those most marginalised; women and children. Our Children’s Development Program is one of the major activities in our integrated community approach, supported by our full time staff and volunteers. The aim of the program is to protect the rights of all children in the community by: providing access to a basic, quality education; developing their life skills; and providing access to health services (through our Community Health Program).

We perceived that today children are the future of tomorrow so that for overall child development of marginalized groups we run Child Care Orphanage Home, Child Care Early Childhood Education, Children’s Life Skills Facilitation, and Working for Street Children projects under children’s development program.

Over the past six years, with the help of our international volunteers and interns, VIN have implemented a range of projects, including the creation of Children’s Clubs and the support of Early Development Centres. As we continue our work in Jitpurphedi we look forward to initiating the process in our new focus community, Okhaldhunga.

VIN seeks caring and motivated volunteers to support our community development program and contribute to complementary projects, Caring children in orphanages and supporting street children.
