Program Description
Volunteer in Bardia
Volunteer in Bardia National Park and experience the beautiful region in the Terai with plenty of opportunities to view wildlife. This is a park that has not been overrun with tourists and houses one of the largest tiger habitats. While the tiger population has begun to increase, it is still rare and a special experience to see a tiger.
This region also houses 30 species of animals including one-horned rhinos and wild elephants. There are over 250 bird species that include the sarus crane and Bengal florican. Gangetic dolphins and marsh mugger and gharial crocodiles are also found in Karnali River’s eastern channel, Geruwa River.
Volunteering Program:
This non-profit organization has put together a volunteer program that facilitates cultural exchange and improves the local community’s education, economic, and social situation. We are looking to empower underprivileged communities through focusing on women and children and providing education, income generation, health education, and basic infrastructure. We train and gather international and local volunteers who assist us with research and promote human rights, economic initiative, and equality.
Volunteer Responsibilities in Schools:
-Teach and tutor children in any subject that the volunteer is familiar with including English and Computer skills
-Develop an innovative atmosphere for children through sports, games, crafts, drawing, dancing, and other fun activities
