Program Description
A volunteer vacation is the ultimate way to experience a new culture while helping to make a difference.
A little closer to home, TRAVEL to HELP offers multiple volunteering opportunities for students and adults.
Every year, while their classmates and millions of other college students are making their way to the beach for spring break, hundreds of other students instead head off to some of the nation’s most troubled or poorest countries to offer their help.
Students won’t have the luxury of a hotel during that week. However, will stay in comfortable guesthouses and will go to the beach and have excursions during their stay with us.
The projects the students participate with address issues such as poverty, homelessness, hunger, literacy, education , construction/renovation and the environment. The objective of the Alternative Breaks program is to involve students in service projects to learn about a community they would typically not know about.
