TEFL Residential programme in Sri Lanka

Overall rating: 0 based on 0 reviews

Description

We are offering an intensive four-week TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher certification programme which is held on the campus of a residential school in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. The course is accredited by the London Teacher Training College and is taught by veteran EFL teachers from the UK and North America. The 120 hours of course time includes a minimum of 20 hours of practice teaching in De Mazenod College, a large primary/secondary school with excellent facilities, a supportive administration and a student population from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, trainees will be living on the campus of Boy’s Town, a boarding school affiliated to De Mazenod College, which offers practical training to orphans and youth from “underprivileged” families. The school has very comfortable living conditions (private rooms, dining hall with a wide range of food options), as well as excellent recreational facilities that encourage social interaction between trainees, students and local staff. The campus itself is a green haven of tranquility in the middle of the big city and a shuttle bus ensures a short, comfortable commute to De Mazenod College.
Upon completion of the course, trainees have the option of doing a two-week teaching internship at the same site, or another local school, for an additional fee of $350 USD (all-inclusive).

The first course begins on 22 February, 2016.
