Qualifications

No prior teaching experience is required; however, all students must have a bachelor's degree by the last day of the program and must have studied a second language in the past. Non-native speakers of English must take a language proficiency test prior to admission.

What`s Included

The Georgetown TEFL Certificate program includes 240 hours of online and in-person instruction in the form of a 19-week online course and a five-day on-campus practicum, offered on Saturdays in the Fall and Spring semesters or on five consecutive weekdays in the Spring semester only. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion and six non-degree credits listed on a Georgetown University transcript.
