Program Description

On the Marshall Islands, primary school is mandatory for Grades 1 through 8. However, many children are not enrolled. As a volunteer teacher on the Marshall Islands, you could be teaching in public elementary schools, high schools, or vocational schools. One placement is an urban area with larger and more advanced classes, the other placement is in a rural area where the communities are largely untouched by modernity.

Qualifications

Native-level English speaker
Bachelor's degree holder
Between the ages of 21 and 60
Extreme flexibility and coping ability, maturity, and a genuine interest in teaching
