CLI's directors have realized that Guilin is like no other place in China. Guilin has breathtaking karst mountains coupled with upbeat city life and a small town community feel, Guilin is the perfect location to experience China, teach English and learn Chinese!
Teacher usually teach between 12-18, 45-minute period classes each week.
Since CLI is a center for Chinese language and cultural studies, you will have countless opportunities to learn Mandarin while in Guilin. As a member of CLI's Teach in China program, you will have unlimited access to CLI's Chinese language learning environment.

Highlights
Located in the south of China, Guilin is one of the country's most spectacular regions well-known for it's karst mountain formations and stunning scenery. Guilin's scenery has been inspiring Chinese artists of all kinds for over 1,000 years. While teaching in Guilin, participants will have the opportunity to travel to the famous towns of Yangshuo and Longsheng. Yangshuo, only one and a half hours away from Guilin, sits on the famous Li River and boasts the picturesque view featured on the back of the 20 RMB note. Longsheng, just over two hours away from Guilin, is home to the Zhuang Minority that has been cultivating rice and other crops in hand-carved terraces that stretch far and wide intoQualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.Participants must be at least 24 years of age.
Preference is given to those with TEFL or TESL certifications.
What`s Included
Teaching Contract: All participants will be placed a school certified by CLI. Contracts are generally issued for 1-2 semesters (5-10 months), although if you wish to teach in China for more than one year CLI can also help make arrangements. Contracts are issued directly by the school hosting you.Comprehensive Program Orientation: CLI's program orientation will be held on site in Guilin and will help you adjust to your new life in China. You will also receive several teacher training sessions hosted by CLI as well as your host school to better prepare you for teaching. Orientation meetings usually take place on a Saturday or Sunday before the start of a semester.
