Program Description
Work and learn from some of the most renowned directors, instructors, dancers, & actors in the world as you study in London's West End. This is an intensive course designed to give you the experience of training like a West End professional. This course includes a West End show ticket, backstage tour of a West End theatre, West End workshops, Masterclasses (such as audition technique and working with a West End agent) & classes in acting, singing, dance & stage combat. This is an amazing opportunity to work with West End cast members & industry experts every day.
This is an ideal course for adults & students who are over 16 years of age who want to embark & learn about what a career as a professional in the West End entails. In the morning, you will have dancing, singing, or acting lessons followed by an afternoon West End show workshop taught by a recent or a current member of that West End show. This first hand experience makes our program really stand out, you can also take photos with the West End cast members & interact in lively Q&A sessions. This is an amazing chance to see the life of a theatre professional & increase your own creativity and confidence.

West End On Demand - Program Reviews
I would totally recommend the experience for the unparalleled exposure to the West End! The numbers speak for themselves - 33 classes in total with actors, singers, dancers, directors and musical directors working in the West End, original choreography with actors from 6 different shows, chance to see 3 shows covered by the programme and many more outside the official programme, and chance to perform in front of 1 agent, all in 3 weeks at a cost of less than £20 per hour. And I haven't even mentioned how much fun it was to get to know and hang out with young aspiring actors from all over the world! I literally did hours and hours of research into drama summer schools in the UK before deciding on West End on Demand, and this was easily the best deal for me.
I was probably quite an unusual participant in the programme, in that I came as a complete beginner in singing, acting and dancing. Nevertheless, I was made to feel very comfortable when trying out all three, by all the teachers as well as by the other participants. Since the programme I have fallen in love with musical theatre and been inspired enough to sign up to further lessons in all three.
I have also gained some great insights into how the industry works, and the ups and downs that come with a career in theatre, through Q&As and conversations with the West End actors and actresses who taught us. Some of the stories they told were really quite inspiring.
Some of my personal highlights were:
- Comedy masterclass
- Puppetry masterclass
- Original choreography from 'Chicago'
- 2-day masterclass with a director, working on a scene from 'The Grand Hotel'
- Stage combat masterclasses
- Original choreography from 'Book of Mormon'
