Volunteer work with Orphanage Children in Nepal

Volunteer with the Himalayan Foundation Nepal and assist with providing education, food, and shelter for orphaned children in Nepal. This country is currently facing many political difficulties and often has issues with providing essential resources and infrastructure such as emergency shelter, social support organizations, and healthcare. HFN strives to provide these children with an enriching and safe environment to enact a change in the lives of these children and promotes them on their path to creating a successful future for Nepal and themselves. We seek to promote fulfillment and happiness in what might otherwise be challenging circumstances.

Volunteers can use their skills and education to contribute to many areas of this HFN’s programs. The Living Orphanage in Kathmandu can work with short term volunteers while longer term volunteers have the chance to work, live, and visit in affiliated orphanages.

You will take part in daily activities such as helping with arts and crafts, teaching Health and English courses, and assisting with homework to help these children with important life skills. Since each volunteer comes with unique abilities, these skills will determine your volunteer duties. You will be serving as a mentor and being a role model as you show them compassion and understanding.
