USAC France: Pau

Program Description

Study abroad in Pau and live in southwestern France in the Béarn region. It is located in the Atlantic Pyrenees and offers a temperate climate and a gorgeous natural setting. Students in this location would be close to the Atlantic coast and only 2 hours away from Spain. This is such an ideally situated study abroad opportunity where students have easy access to ski resorts including Lourdes, Artouste, and Gourette as well as the beaches of Biarritz. Pau is filled with relaxing parks and is a very charming city.

The Old Quarter of Pau traces routes to the Renaissance and medieval time periods. There are a lot of cultural activities to engage students including a library, many museums, and a bustling commercial area.
