Program Description
Join the program in San Ramón and learn about conservation, ecology, and health in Costa Rica. This program runs for a year or a semester. Enroll in courses including environmental policy, biology, marine biology, and tropical ecology.
We supplement our curriculum with valuable field study so that you gain real world experience. This is an ecologically diverse region with some of the most innovative approaches to ecotourism. You have the possibility to receive honors credits for our courses with approval from your university.
The pre-requisite for the courses listed above include one year of general biology study. Those who are interested in enrolling in Tropical Life Science courses, but are non-majors can instead enroll in the programs in Heredia or Puntarenas. We supplement this course with Spanish language and cultural studies. One of the greatest aspects of this program is the immersive experience you will receive as a part of our community.
