Program Description
London has one of the richest theatre traditions in the world and it is more than bolstered by the current vibrant theatre scene. Here the cutting edge meets tradition and on any given day you can be enthralled by stimulating experimental theatre in an abandoned underground railway station before visiting acclaimed national companies such as the RSC and the National Theatre. Florida State University’s Theatre Academy London (TAL) was developed in order to provide participants with the opportunity to enjoy the wealth of theatre resources in the area while viewing a variety of performances at student discounted rates. Some of the top theatre artists in London are a part of the talented faculty of the Academy.
Florida State resident faculty teach alongside top London theatre performers in a variety of subjects including Design and Stage Management, Acting, and Playwriting. This is a comprehensive program that offers a diverse variety of classes for foundational aspects of theatre. Each semester has a different focus for the year program.
