Tía Tula is the place to learn Spanish in Salamanca. I really enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend Tía Tula to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish skills. As soon as you enter the school, you notice the familiar atmosphere at Tía Tula: Both the office staff and the teachers will do their best to make you enjoy your time in Salamanca.

The Spanish classes focus on grammar as well as conversation so that you experience a rapid progress of your language skills from the very beginning. The teachers at Tía Tula are really nice and patient when it comes to any questions you have concerning the Spanish language and culture. Another way to learn and practise Spanish are the extracurricular afternoon activities. Each day there is another activity: guided tours, excursions, language exchanges, trips to monuments in and around Salamanca, to name but a few. These activities are a great opportunity to get to know to your classmates and teachers and the Spanish language and culture.

Another advantage of Tía Tula is its great location in the city center: The school is located halfway between the monumental cathedreal of the city and its beautiful Plaza Mayor. What is more, the shooping street Calle Toro is only a short 10-minute walk from the school. Whatever you want to see in Salamanca, it will not be too far away from Tía Tula.

To cut a long story short: Tía Tula is a great language school with helpful staff and outstanding teachers. ¡Me encanta! :)

Having visited Spain before I had some prior idea as to the lifestyle here, but also knew it would be a new experience living in the country for an extended amount of time. Having spent 6 months in the Spanish Pyrenees over the winter in a very small village I was looking forward to spending time in a Spanish city and getting to know that side of the culture here. I knew Salamanca was quite a small which suited me perfectly, everything is within walking distance and the people here are all really friendly. Aside from this the Spanish spoken here is the purest in Spain-that with the least regional accent-leading to a perfect environment to improve your language skills!

After reading about Tía Tula online it seemed to be the perfect place for me to study. It had great reviews from all its customers online and I liked the idea of it being a small school with a real family feel to it. Everyone is really friendly here and always happy to help if you have any problem.

Through the language course I am naturally looking to further improve my Spanish skills, in both grammar, writing and listening as well as oral. As I am here for 3 months I am hoping to see a significant change in my level as I progress through the classes.

I have found everyone at the school really friendly and welcoming, they really do help to create a 'family' feel here. All the teachers are very patient and always willing to take time to help make sure you understand exactly what is happening in the lessons. All are very approachable if you have any kind of problems here, not just in terms of your studies but in terms of your life in Salamanca, there is always someone here to help. I am here taking classes and helping work in the office as part of my university studies, and every member of staff I have met have been great!

The course system here at Tía Tula works really well, from beginners to advanced classes regardless of your level of Spanish you will fit in somewhere! The text books that we use are given to the student, so you can write notes and answer the exercises in the book which is really handy for those who don't want lots of different papers everywhere! The text books are also easy to follow and work through different themes and points of grammar at a good pace, always highlighting the most important part that you need to know.

The school itself is situated on the Rua Mayor, one of the main streets of Salamanca just metres from the famous cathedrals, the Plaza Mayor and the shopping area. With small class sizes you always get good tuition here, and they also have extra materials such as magazines, newspapers, books and computers that you can use outside of your classes if you wish to further improve on your Spanish. There is also a notice board filled with different activities and excursions in Salamanca, as well as phone numbers and contact details for other students looking to practice their language skills. The school is really close to some nice food shops, and also some nice areas to sit outside in the sun and eat your lunch. All the text books and materials are new and all the teachers have good experience and know how to make learning a language interesting and fun!

The main reason I chose Tía Tula was its location in the heart of Salamanca. I knew that it was the city with the least regional accent in Spain and therefore seemed the best place for me to go to improve my Spanish! I chose this school over others in Salamanca as it had many great reviews online, and I liked the idea of it being a smaller school with small classes. It really does feel like a little family unit here!
