Program Description
Oaxaca is a UNESCO World Heritage site and of of Latin America's best preserved colonial cities. Here you will find the juxtaposition of past and present. Oaxaca is home to around 15 indigenous tribes and 16 languages. The indigenous groups around Oaxaca still maintain their language and culture and visiting these areas is like stepping into another world. The program focuses on all that Oaxaca has to offer: language, arts, pre-Hispanic ruins, and exploring places of incredible natural beauty. And the food in Oaxaca is world-renowned! You will live with one of our incredible homestays and attend classes at the University of Oaxaca's Facultad de Idiomas on the weekdays. This program has many electives available in both English and Spanish.
