Program Description

Our effective Summer Abroad Program at Barcelona International College features two one-month courses or a full summer course. International students from all over will be able to experience life in a local Spanish university, earn university credits for the classes taught in English, and to explore the city of Barcelona and beyond. Alongside entertaining trips and excursions, your Spanish ability will increase exponentially with our great Intensive Spanish Language Courses. Stay on the Mediterranean and see all that this beach city has to offer.

You will have the chance to meet new friends that range from fellow internationals to knowledgeable locals. Regardless of which course you choose, you will have plenty of time to enjoy your time in Spain. This will be a memorable learning experience that you will keep with you for years to come.

Highlights

Semester Abroad students can combine our Intensive Spanish Course with three or four electives. You will earn between twelve and fifteen credits per semester. Our highly talented instructors all hold PhDs in their fields or Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and are a mixture of locals and internationals from across the globe. They are helpful, experienced, and full of advice for our Semester Abroad students.

The Intensive Language Courses are offered at every level from Beginner (A1) to Proficient (C2). Our teachers offer an interactive approach and use a variety of techniques and methodologies to teach you a strong foundation of grammar and vocabulary, reading and writing, and speaking and listening. Our electives stem from a wide range of fields including Culture, History, and Art, and are usually taught in English.
