SACI Florence Late Spring & Summer Programs

Program Description

Florence is at its best in the summer months! With its bounty of the world's greatest artistic treasures and a surrounding countryside of remarkable beauty, it is the ideal place for your summer studies. Students attending the program will benefit from the variety of courses and fields trips that are offered during these short terms to make their time at SACI a season of growth and fulfillment.

Students may enroll in six credits, or two courses, per term during the Late Spring and Summer terms. Many field trips, including to neighboring Fiesole, are a regular part of the Late Spring and Summer program for students to learn and enjoy!

Highlights

Florence offers a remarkable range of cultural and popular events and activities such as during the summer months. These include the famous Calcio in Costume, during which different parts of the city compete against each other in what is thought to be the ancestor of modern soccer; outdoor evening film screenings and music festivals; and concerts, film, and theater held in a Roman amphitheater. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to attend field trip sto nearby cities including Pisa, Arezzo and Siena.
