Program Description

“Technique mixte” employs a tempera underpainting over which oil colours are glazed. This allows the artist to achieve a profoundly intricate level of detail and a greater luminosity of colour than oil paint alone can produce. Artist-painter Gregory Pelizzari will instruct this methodology of painting. It is representative of master painters including Jan van Eyck.

This course is for both beginning and advanced students.
Class size is kept to a minimum-never more than eight and very often under five.
Language of instruction- English and French
The atelier is mixed local and foreign students of all ages and all levels of art instruction.
Other courses and activities are available in Villeneuve sur Lot : French lessons , music, yoga, dance

The Atelier Neo Medici is a private Art School teaching Renaissance painting technique . Its mission is to provide the best education in drawing and painting through study of the history, traditions, and principles of Renaissance Techniques. This is to establish a comprehensive foundation for the contemporary artist.
