Program Description
Students will participate in a join program between the Paris-Est Marne La Vallée (UPEM) and Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). This is a Master 1 International Economics Studies program (M1 IES) with lessons taken at Créteil. This is ideal for students who are interested in global issues with development and international economic relationships.
This course was created specifically for students interested in enrolling in the Master’s program for Development Economics and International Project Management (M2 DEIPM). This would take place at UPEC. However, students are also able to enroll in a wide variety of Master’s degree courses across the globe.
European and global standards at met through this curriculum, regardless of the standing of the higher education institution. Students who enroll in the full program of M1 IES and M2 DEIPM will be able to pursue successful careers in development.
The courses are all taught in English and the faculty is comprised of economic experts from partners such as the World Bank and OECD as well as high quality academics. You will receive a grounded education in the field of development.

Highlights
Courses run from mid-September to the beginning of April. Students are able to engage in internships from June until the end of August in research centers, NGOs, and consulting firms.The curriculum is taught in English and addresses international obstacles. It also covers:
- Conferences with the AFD, OECD, and World Bank
- Excursion to the European Parliament in Brussels
- Students will learn about behavioral managements and economics
- Use an experimental approach to Game Theory and Negotiations as well as Competition and Regulation economics
- Analyze quantitative surveys
- Use the Economic Policy International Organisations Approach
- Learn about crisis period banking strategies
