Step off the beaten path and discover more of the world…You won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime learning adventure to study aromatherapy, essential oils, and herbs among wild thyme and many other aromatic Mediterranean botanicals, on the island of Syros in Greece!
Picturesque Villa Abela will serve as home base for your week of study. Adjacent to the secluded bay of Abela, Villa Abela is only 100 yards from the beach and features grounds and courtyards covered in multi-colored bougainvillea and traditional Greek architecture.
With Villa Abela as a backdrop, you will enjoy enriching instruction from ACHS President and renowned Aromatherapist and Herbalist Dorene Petersen. Dorene is Chair of the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC) and one of its founding members. Dorene is also an American Herbalists Guild (AHG) Registered Herbalist and serves on the Board for the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP).

Workshops and lectures include:
• Discovering the essential oils and herbs of the Mediterranean
• Harvesting and wildcrafting botanicals
• Steps to creating aromatherapy blends for therapeutic purposes
• Herbal preparations for vitality and wellness
• Clues to health: Are they staring back at us in the mirror? [iridology lecture]
• Healing through flowers: Understanding the power of flow

Tour dates: June 13-18, 2016Included:
• Five (5) nights’ accommodation on the island of Syros, Greece.
* Three meals are provided each day using regional produce: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is typical Greek style with fresh bread, jam, fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, and hot beverages. Lunch is a three-course meal, including a tomato, cucumber, and olive salad, a meat (chicken, fish, or vegetarian dish), a selection of vegetables, and either a selection of fruit or small sweets for dessert. The evening meal is similar to the lunch meal, and regional wine is included with both lunch and dinner.
