Since 1980 the Findhorn Foundation has evolved into one of the world’s unique sustainable ‘Global Villages.’ Findhorn links the spiritual, social and economic aspects of life and the very best of current thinking on human habitats. It is a constantly evolving community providing solutions to human and social needs while at the same time working in partnership with the environment to offer an enhanced quality of life for all.

A sustainable community may be described as a human settlement, which is sustainable ecologically, economically, culturally and spiritually. The continuing expansion of the sustainable community provides a valuable model for our future and has created a tool for research and education. As a sustainable community, the Findhorn Foundation and Community is part of the rapidly growing Eco-village Network, which links eco-village and sustainable community projects worldwide.
