The TOL Foreign Correspondent course was developed in 2005 and grew out of the foundation of working with professionals in news magazines and with international correspondents.

Highlights
This course will teach participants how to stay safe in unpredictable areas, pitch ideas, acclimate to foreign countries, find unique stories and angles, and modify stories for different types of media.Program participants will work with experience genuine foreign correspondents. This course will culminate in completing an actual assignment that will be an important clip for building up writing portfolios. Participants will also learn the skills necessary to photograph the subjects of their articles, since being knowledgeable about different types of media is a valuable skill in this developing field.
