Documentary Production Outreach - Uganda

Overall rating: 0 based on 0 reviews

Program Description

Uganda program dates run from August 1st to August 30th, 2015

Showcase your filmmaking talents as you create a short documentary video. This project involves researching, writing, shooting, and editing a documentary piece on a person who have evoked change and whose efforts should receive worldwide attention and acclaim. This dynamic film on a changemaker in Uganda will help to inspire individuals and prompt the possibility for volunteers, grants, and donations from around the world.

The Editor, Cinematographer, Director, and Producer make up the four positions on an Actuality Media crew. Each documentary produced will focus on a separate local changemaker with each outreach of multiple crews. In addition to primary project responsibilities, crew members share administrative, technical, and creative duties.

Please indicate which position(s) that you might be interested in on your application.

Professional sound and camera equipment will be provided to each crew by Actuality Media for use during outreach projects. We encourage crew members to use their creativity to develop art, grip, and lighting tools from materials around the city or at the Base Camp. There are endless possibilities for interesting shot locations.

Each crew will have access to Adobe Premiere editing software at Base Camp. Each crew will also work with a Project Coordinator to complete a successful post-production workflow including graphics, titles, music, and completed sound.

At the end of this project, there will be a gathering for locals and program participants to screen the finished film.

Please speak with a school advisor and contact Actuality Media to obtain academic credit for your own university.
