Documentary Production Outreach — Nepal

Overall rating: 0 based on 0 reviews

Program Description

The Nepal program is from June 10th to July 9th, 2017.

Calling all filmmakers interested in making a positive change abroad this summer! Or are you a traveler interested in learning visual storytelling techniques using media? Join us to create a short documentary film in Nepal!

We partner with individuals and organizations who are positively impacting their communities, and make a short documentary about their efforts. Our month-long program involves researching, writing, filming, and editing a video. The finished product will help the organization gain a global audience, volunteers and possibly grants. Once films are finished, there will be a premiere screening in the community.

Each outreach crew will produce its own separate film about a changemaker. There are usually three crews per outreach. A crew consists of a Director, Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor. You may mention which position(s) that you are interested in on your application.

Actuality Media provides professional camera gear and sound equipment to each crew. Your crew may creatively develop art, grip, and lighting tools from items around the city or at Base Camp. Crew members will collaborate on duties as needed. There will also be a Project Coordinator to oversee the post-production workflow including graphics, titles, music, and sound. Adobe Premiere editing software will be available for each crew during editing week.
