Program Description

In order to work with individuals with language and speech issues, people must complete professional training. The United Kingdom and London have been the origins of innovative treatments for those with autism, stutters, or other language issues. Participants with this program will be able to interact with clinicians from famous language and speech clinics as well as observing and learning about clinical practices. Participants will be able to gain firsthand knowledge of this practice of this profession as the course covers the language and speech issues experience throughout a person’s life. This will count as credit for fulfilling the Communication Science and Disorders major. This program will also cover the professional treatment and training of language and speech issues in the UK and the US.

•Visits to speech and hearing clinics in London area hospitals to observe clinical practice in a variety of settings
•Full participation in the London Broad Curriculum’s cultural and social events
