Athena Study Abroad in Tuscania, Italy

Overall rating: 0 based on 0 reviews

Program Description

Tuscania is a charming Italian city nestled in the countryside near Rome. Due to the small town feel of the city students in this program will truly be immersed in the surrounding culture. To be even more in depth into the culture, students are offered a homestay option with a local family, meals included! Otherwise, students will stay in apartment-style housing and receive meal vouchers. For students interested in a volunteer program in addition to credit, you can choose a variety of ways to share your time. Some options include the Theater "Rivellino," Etruscan museum, public school, tourist agency, and the Red Cross.

Highlights

Some field trips are included in the cost of the program to expand a student's view of Italy! Such destinations may include the Palace Farnese in Caprarola, Termi dei Papi, and Bolsena Lake.
Lorenzo de Medici, Athena's partner school in Tuscania, offers a very special course in the summer. For those who are studying-or just interested in-archaeology, there is an 4-week Archaeology Field School that is offered in the month of July!
