Program Description
The archipelago of Bocas del Toro is a diver's dream, with abundant flora and fauna living below the sea. Bocas del Toro is home to 95% of the coral species found in the Caribbean Sea, with many unique and endemic species to our area. The waters are inhabited by a wonderful variety of tropical reef creatures including nurse sharks, stingrays and many species of crab and lobster. Diving conditions are excellent year round, especially for training, with the best times to scuba dive being February, March, May, September and October – during these months sea conditions are flatter allowing access to more remote dive sites.
The Group 4 course is typically scheduled from 8am - 12pm with your diving classes held from 2pm - 5pm (Monday through Friday). You can finish the diving course over the weekend.
Your accommodation can be with a local family or we can help you make a reservation at a hostel, hotel, or apartment that we recommend.

Highlights
Due to calm conditions and highly competitive pricing, Bocas del Toro is amongst the best and most affordable places in the world to participate in scuba education!The Group 4 classes have no more than 6 students all at your exact same Spanish level. All of our teachers are Panamanian, have college-degrees, and are full time employees at our school. We teach using the Communicative Method, which is based on conversation and activity-based tasks rather than memorization and workbook activities. You will be given an Habla Ya-created book to use during class, which is included in the course fee.
You will have your own private room in the home stay and we do our best to not place multiple students in one host family. The families frequently take students to the beach, visit with other local family and friends, or play games at home. We encourage interaction as much as the student feels comfortable.
Our school is accredited by the Cervantes Institute in Spain. We are a DELE exam preparation and examination center. Many of our host families have worked with our program for over 5 years.
