Learn Spoken Lebanese Arabic in Beirut

Program Description

Study abroad with the Academy of Languages and Practical Skills and engage in practical Arabic lessons. You will be situated near to the American University of Beirut. Our courses are tailored to each student and respects the schedules of our students. Students will be immersed in the local culture of Beirut while increasing their language abilities. Linguistic specialists helped to design the ALPS textbooks, which have shown to be a great success. We have small class sizes and experienced and welcoming teachers. Courses have a maximum of 6 students.

What`s Included

Intro to Spoken Arabic
This class begins with learning the alphabet in Modern Standard Arabic AND the Lebanese Dialect. This way you’ll see how the Lebanese pronunciation of the Arabic letters differs from Modern Standard Arabic and take this knowledge with you wherever and however you use Arabic in the future.

As you study the alphabet, you’ll also learn important Lebanese Arabic phrases and vocabulary that are spoken everyday in Beirut. You’ll be able to introduce yourself, get around Beirut easier and have basic conversations by the end of the class.
