Program Description
In the last 15 years, The Language Club has been teaching Portuguese to English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, German, Swedish, Danish, French speaking people and many other nationalities in elementary, intermediate and advanced levels;
Courses may be in groups or private, that can start at any convenient time for the student.
The Language Club adopts a communicative methodology. The courses are very interactive and grammar and vocabulary are learned in context. Class dynamics make use of simulation activities encouraging students’ language practice.
In general, the courses cover the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Aspects of Brazilian culture are also included in the course syllabus.

Highlights
Lagoa da Conceição is one of the hippest neighborhoods in Floripa. It is located in the center of the island, is the largest lagoon on the island and provides a focal point for water sports enthusiasts, including surfers, sailors and others. The dunes and hills around the lagoon provide opportunities for sandboarding, hang gliding, mountain biking and hiking.The school, located in the very center this neighborhood, is close to shops, a mall, cafes and the main bus station in the area, but it is still safe and quiet. It is about 15 minutes by bus from Praia Mole, Joaquina and Campeche, three very famous beaches on the island. The environment, open to all cultural backgrounds, it is perfect!
What`s Included
The school has developed its own material for most basic levels of its Learn Portuguese courses. As students enroll in basic levels, they receive a booklet (a handout pack) for the courses. Besides the main booklet, there is an extensive amount of supplementary material from newspapers, magazines and books. We also use plenty of audio and visual resources in class. In intermediate and advanced levels, we sometimes suggest that the student acquires a specific title, depending on his language objectives and learning style.At TLC, there is a rich library with portuguese coursebooks, novels and reference books.
