Teach Motivated Adult EFL Learners in South Korea

Job Description

For the last twelve years, YBM Language Institutes have been Korea’s number 1 EFL organization and we are looking for professional and dynamic teachers to be a part of our team in Seoul, Seongnam, and Daegu. We are premier providers of English language services and content. Teachers with this program will be supported by our reputable company and offered contracts to instruct adult EFL programs.

Instructors will work with English speaking administrative staff as well as native English speaking academic supervisors. You will be provided with absolute assistance and support as you assist students in meeting their language goals and needs through Test Preparation, Academic, Business English, Listening, Writing, and Speaking courses. Use text and materials that are standard while also assisting in peer training and developing curriculum. Instructors will be responsible for one-to-one and small group courses. Start Dates and Locations
In the third week of the month prior to the intended start date, applicants will be expected to attend paid training sessions. These will last from 9AM to 4PM. The official position begins on the first weekday that is closest to or on the first of the month. Mid-month start dates are possible for English One-to-One courses.

* A necessary requirement of English One-to-One positions is at least one continuous year of teaching adults full-time in an EFL school setting.

Job Function

Salary/Benefits

• Base salary up to 2.5 million won per month
** Possibility to make over 3.0 million won with overtime **

Desired Skills and Experience

• Hold a valid passport and undergraduate degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, or the United Kingdom
• Formal EFL teaching experience with adult learners, and/or CELTA, TEFL certification (preferred)
• Demonstrated student/service oriented experience (preferred)
• Positive, energetic outlook and demeanor
