Role Summary
The English Language Arts Curriculum Team at EIC Education, a leader in the Chinese education market, is looking for a curriculum developer for grade 1-9 ELA content. This team is generally responsible for conducting research and development for new courses, as well as constructing a program framework that can be expanded on in the future. As a key member of the team, individuals will also help with collecting, analyzing and implementing any feedback on course content. This role is vital to the company’s continued growth and success in China’s education market as EIC looks to expand its offerings to areas that are
currently underserved.
Employees on the curriculum development team work standard office hours, Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing a curriculum framework for future offerings
• Designing course layout and flow
• Researching and selecting new subject areas for future course offerings
• Creating assessments that test specific learning goals Essential
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in education (elementary), linguistics, English or related fields
• 1+ years previous experience in teaching
• 2+ years working with children
Desirable Skills:
• Advanced coursework in second language acquisition, especially in children
• In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum of any English-speaking country
