Program Description

Become an intern with this project and learn about methods of modern therapy. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients. Assist our staff in bringing boosts to self-esteem, a sense of achievement, movement, and joy to our clients. There is a variety of services offered to help each person’s particular needs.
This organisation promotes a multidisciplinary approach with extremely experienced and trained staff. Individuals with disabilities will benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities as they receive access to therapy, training, advice, and professional care. We provide leisure, educational, and therapeutic services to adults and children with learning and/or physical disabilities for free. The project focuses on inclusion and independence by taking advantage of activities that support caregivers and individuals.

Interns will learn new skills as they assist in each aspect of this project. Long term interns can specify their area of interest in order to build up particular skills. Take this fantastic opportunity on a beautiful island and enjoy the first step to your future. The minimum stay here is 3 months so that you develop stronger connections with the clients & gain greater experience.

Qualifications

No specific qualifications are required, however an active interest in - or study of - therapy and medical care is a great advantage.

What`s Included

Accommodation: During your time in Malta you would be staying in a shared apartment. At most you will share a room with one other person. The apartment is just a 10 minute walk from the centre and has great access to the rest of the island. It is a beautiful location and your host is very friendly and welcoming so you'll get a great insight to Maltese life. You will have a living area and kitchen available to use along with Wifi access.

Food: You will receive a monthly allowance for your food to purchase locally and you can then use the apartment kitchen to cook in.

Training: All volunteers setting out on an adventure with us receive pre-departure training and an induction pack
