Summer Service Internship Program
The America’s Unofficial Ambassadors Summer Service Internship program in Ifrane, Morocco, offers a unique volunteer experience that pairs interns with schools and grassroots NGOs working in fields like education, community development and environmental conservation. Unofficial ambassadors are housed on the campus of Al-Akhawayn University, where they study Moroccan Arabic.
Highlights-Teaching English or managing after school sports programs for young people.
-Organizing summer camps for children in underserved communities.
-Aiding environmental education programs and eco-tourism initiatives.
-Teaching French in a rural village school.
Qualifications-Must be 18 years old or older at the time of application.
-Must reside in North America as a citizen, permanent resident or holder of an international student visa at a North American college or university at the time of application.
-Must be of strong physical and mental health to live in a developing country for 6 weeks.
-Possess strong writing and communication skills.
-Maintain a commitment to service, cultural sensitivity and AUA’s mission.
-Commit to giving at least one community presentation (two for Mosaic Grant recipients) upon returning to the United States.

What`s IncludedThe program fee of $3,875 includes housing for six weeks, transportation to and from internship sites, insurance, some meals and cultural excursions. Airfare and personal expenses are not included. Please inquire for more information on this program.
