Paid English Teaching Internships in China

Program Description

Interns with our program will be placed in local primary schools, language institutes and kindergartens in order to teach English. All interns will have on-the-job instruction and training as well as hands-on experience rather than merely focusing on theory. You will be a much more desirable candidate for future career opportunities since you will have already worked abroad. As an intern with this program, you will enhance many skills including communication and leadership while broadening your world view. You will work with colleagues from across the globe as you teach English to local students.

Responsibilities:
• Around 30 hours of work each week with an average of about 6 hours daily.
• Instruct English to local students in your host organisation.
• Help the host organisation with any pastoral or extracurricular activities.

Placement cities vary and will be determined before departure.

Qualifications

Between the ages of 18 and 29 years old.
Physically fit.
High school graduate (at start of program) or higher.
A native or near native English speaker.
No criminal record.
Can commit to participate for 6 or 12 months.
Positive, passionate and loves children.
Culturally aware and adaptable.
Teaching/tutoring/childcare experience desirable but not essential.

• Guaranteed pre-departure school placement at a registered Kindergarten/Bilingual Early Learning Centre in Beijing or another city in China
• A monthly stipend of up to RMB 2,500
• Airfare reimbursement in full (RMB 10,000 for 12 months and pro-rated for other durations)
