Nursing Internships Abroad

Program Description

Our nursing internships are targeted to give insight into the holistic role of a nurse in a developing country. With limited staff, medical supplies and lowly advanced technology, the placement allows you to transcend the bedside procedures of nursing practice to learn and apply your skills in a broader context of unique health system and different cultural practice. Across the various departments of rotation in the hospital, you are incorporated into the healthcare delivery team. You are able to learn and acquire skills in primary healthcare nursing, hospital inpatient care, maternal and reproductive health, pediatrics and child nursing, HIV/AIDs care and management as well as intensive care nursing.

Qualifications

Requirements for this internship include:
Must be 18 years and above
Nursing Council Approval Index Certificate - This is obtained at an additional cost of US $50
Must be a qualified Nursing practitioner of a student in the nursing program
Proof of practice or enrollment in a nursing course
Valid passport with 6 months or more from the commencement date of placement
Travel and Medical insurance

What`s Included

All pre-departure support from our team
Hospital placement fees, this is paid directly to the hospital as part of the requirements for registration
Airport pick-up on arrival and drop-off on departure
Mentorship, Hospital and Local Area Orientation which includes a City/Town Tour of the program location
Volunteer activities planned twice a week i.e. for both cultural integration and giving back to the communities like visiting children homes
Accommodation in our student house sharing a room with a maximum of 3 participants in separate beds
Three Meals a day including clean bottled drinking water i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner all Chef prepared
