Program Description

Interns with an interest in entrepreneurship and finance will gain practical work experience with a Kenosis projects abroad Microfinance internship, while making a worthy contribution to developing countries. This internship is ideal for students interested in business, international development, and microcredit or professionals looking to gain international experience.

As a Microfinance intern, you can work with a variety of projects across the globe, from Africa to Asia. The goal of many of these projects is to support small and local businesses and help entrepreneurs develop a sustainable future for themselves.

Microfinance interns undertake various roles during their internships. You will perform tasks such as reading though business plans, developing marketing strategies, conducting workshops, providing business guidance and support, and more. Wherever you go, you will be directly involved in the process of developing small businesses in a developing country and helping people rise above poverty.

Highlights

• Travel to hills station and beautiful location of Hogennakkal waterfalls, Kaveri River, Yercaud, Ooti to experience beautiful nature filled with pepper creepers, variety of fruits filled trees, palms and oak trees, coffee and tea estates, elephant watch, resorts.
• Experience the diverse cultural and traditional nuances of India.
• Visit the number of heritage sites and ancient monuments in Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Kerala and Delhi; such as the Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Palace, Nandi hills, Temples, sculptures, India Gate, etc.
• Interact with the locals and get to understand their daily life challenges and struggle.
• Enjoy the tangy taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

Qualifications

Please take note of this project's minimum requirements:
• Do not really required qualification and previous experience.
• Anyone above 18+ can apply to this programs
• Intermediate level of English
• Interest in women's rights and adolescent development programs
• Flexible and self-motivated
• Immunizations (please consult your local travel clinic)
• Police clearance (if necessary only)
