Mente Argentina- International Business Internship

Program Description

We provide you with the opportunity to intern with a multinational business that is seeking to increase its export network. Interns will be able to learn and work with marketing, market research, intricacies of importing/exporting and financial projects. Interns may need to help extend export networks by researching client information, contacting these potential clients, and thinking of outreach opportunities to generate attention to this company.

You will build a foundation of work experience which will aid your future career prospects. You will be able to live in the local culture while learning about the complex and growing business world in Buenos Aires. Not only will you broaden your understanding of this field, but you will also gain valuable skills in the operational aspects of business on an international level.

You may also choose to enroll in the optional 20 hour intensive course on Spanish with Mente Argentina Internship Program. The course will start during your first week in Argentina and runs from Monday to Friday, 9AM-1PM. You will learn vocabulary necessary to be successful in the business world as well as daily useful expressions and idioms.

A program advisor will help you through the application process by evaluating your documents to find all the different organizations available in our wide network of healthcare institutions to match your specific skills and experience.

* Academic Credits
Students can usually receive academic credit for their internships, however the student must have approval from their home university.

* MA Program Coordinators
Mente Argentina Program Coordinators are available 24 hours a day to assist students with all aspects of their internship experience and provide information about preparing for life in Buenos Aires.

* Secure and comfortable Accommodations
Mente Argentina is the only study and intern abroad organization that has housing in the most exclusive neighborhoods of Buenos Aires: Palermo, Belgrano, Barrio Norte, Recoleta. Everything is included, even maid service once a week! (Shared Apartment Accommodation)

* Airport Pick Up and Drop Off
Your program coordinator will be waiting for you at the apartment to brief you about the program. They will answer any questions you may have and provide you with a welcome pack to prepare you for your life in Buenos Aires.

* Volunteer and Placement (Optional)
Mente Argentina volunteer placements in Buenos Aires provide international students with the opportunity to put their skills and abilities to use while volunteering for a cause they want to support.

Qualifications

Like most internships, our internships emphasize on-the-job training rather than merely employment. Interns are usually college or university students, but they can also be high school students or postgraduate adults seeking skills for a new career.

We cooperate with a range of different businesses, state, non-governmental and international organizations. As an intern you will gain insight into Argentine culture and business environments while gaining solid experience in the area you choose. In most placements you will work with Spanish speaking people, which will further enrich your Spanish knowledge and command of the language.

Spanish is not a requirement for these programs and supplemental Spanish lessons are offered to all program participants.
