Program Description
Join our meaningful hospital placements abroad for a customized and supervised hospital work experience. You will also get exposure into a different culture as well as build your skills and clinical competence. Carefully crafted, this program will complement the didactic component of your training with practical exposure to the practice of medicine.
You will encounter unique cases for learning such as advanced diseases and the management & treatment of tropical diseases.
You will be paired with healthcare professionals who will guide you to learn and be involved in various activities. Depending on your interest, you will rotate in departments like OBS/GYN, Paediatrics and Child Health, General Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry and Accidents & Emergency.
With a minimum of 25 hours a week working in the hospital, you have an opportunity to participate in Continuous Medical Education (CMEs) in the hospital of placement and also engage healthcare professions through our organised Global health tutorials that normally take place every week in the students residence.
The programs are available all year round with a variety of medical clinical sites to choose from namely rural, urban and coastal settings.

Qualifications
Pre health’s Majoring in a science Related field eg Biology, Chemistry, biochemistry, physics among othersMedical, nursing, dentistry, midwifery and public health and research students
