Program Description

ETIV do Brasil is looking for a dedicated intern to serve as our Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator for in beautiful Itacare, Bahia, Brazil. The Coordinator will be responsible for leading our overall marketing strategy as we promote our organization and our volunteer opportunities on a wide variety of social media sites, volunteer recruitment websites and on different internship and job boards. In addition, our marketing coordinator is expected to help us build parternships with more colleges and universities to market our opportunities in their volunteer and internship databases as well as in their newsletters or other publications so that we can recruit more volunteers and interns to support both our local community projects and our NGO administrative work. The Coordinator will receive ongoing training, supervision and guidance from the director or other ETIV staff members, while he or she will gain a great deal of knowledge about NGO administration. Meanwhile, the Coordinator will be responsible for training, supervising and supporting any other volunteers or interns that may become engaged in marketing, recruitment or social media work. We are currently working to build a team of virtual interns that can promote and market our NGO at home and in their local schools, universities and communities.

Highlights

• Enjoy the natural paradise of Itacare, with it's gorgeous beaches, waterfalls, and rich biodiversity
• Learn about NGO operations and international development in Brazil
• Combine volunteering and research with personal skills development
• Support the NGO on its marketing strategy and by recruiting more volunteers and interns

Qualifications

Experience and support in video production would also be excellent, although it is not a requirement for this position. Overall, our Marketing coordinator will be expected to help us develop a sound strategy that will improve our exposure and our brand both locally and internationally, while helping us significantly improve the recruitment of new volunteers and interns to our NGO. All of our Coordinator positions require a high level of responsibility because there is a great deal of flexibility and not a lot of structure. Consequently, only volunteers or interns with a great deal of organization, initiative, maturity and leadership skills should apply for this position.

I volunteer virtually with ETIV do Brasil on the Marketing and Communications team and I'm very happy with the experience! I love working closely with the team of international volunteers who are all very driven and bring unique perspectives to the projects we're working on. After just a few months of volunteering, I can already see the significant growth and impact of the work we're doing. I definitely recommend this NGO, they are uniting so many diverse people and doing really amazing work! It has been a very rewarding experience!
