Program Description

Foreign nationalities seek out the J-1 Visa in order to gain the opportunity to train, learn, and work in the United States. With this visa, program participants are able to stay until the finish of their traineeship in the US. There are a variety of categories that determine the lengths of stays, though when the visa expires, participants must leave the country.

This visa fosters intercultural exchange and learning between many countries and cultures of the world and the United States. The exchange of ideas builds up culture and the arts through a flow of creativity. There are a wide range of possibilities for training and employment including business administration and hospitality. Skilled labor is a marketable skill due to the large tourism industry. Outlets, restaurant chains, and hotels are looking for excellent, dependable staff and that position could be yours!

Qualifications

- You are between 18 to 36
- You will complete your internship either during your studies (having completed at least one full semester) or within 12 months after graduation.
- Your proposed internship must be in a field directly related to your studies.
- You must have secured a training position with a company in the U.S. by J1 Training Inc.
- You can demonstrate sufficient financial funds to cover expenses.
- You plan to leave the U.S. within 30 days after the completion of your internship.
- You know English well enough to perform successfully in the proposed position.
- Your internship will not exceed 12 months in length.
