Place of work: Slums in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India
Target Groups: Children, youth, adolescent girls or/and women

Field Activities:
> Research on children, /rights/policies of governments/implementations/human rights
> Education /teaching the slum children
> Awareness creation/workshops for women - conscious self-building for women and girls
> Street children rescue and rehabilitation programme
> Research on street children/ life on the Indian streets for a street child/adolescent

Highlights

On arrival Orientation: We provide orientation and training required for your stay in India and in particular to the project you have selected to join. A very detailed project profile of your choice, work schedule, safety concerns, local communities where you would be living, culture, food. You will find most of these explained in our Volunteer’s Manual.

Manuals & Terms and Conditions: Once we confirm your application, you will get our Volunteers Manual, Terms and Conditions, and NCT Child Protection Policy.

24 x 7 Support: NCT provides you safe and secure placement in our programme.

Qualifications

We look for committed and flexible intern/volunteers

> Anyone who has the desire and commitment towards making a positive change in the lives of the poor marginalized groups
> The ability to commit for a duration of at least 3 weeks
> Ability to communicate in English
> A valid passport and Visa for India
> You should be at least 18+ at the time of joining our projects. If you are less than 18 years of age, we need a No Objection Letter or Willing Letter from your parents
