This is a country where ancient culture surrounds modern medical practices. Students will shadow experienced healthcare professionals as they explore the hospital environment of this beautiful and fascinating destination. Our programs in Thailand offer unique clinical experience in our partner hospitals, breathtaking scenery, and once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Programs include pre-medical, pre-nursing, pre-physician assistant, pre-dental, and pre-midwife.

Highlights
In Thailand you'll be based in Phitsanulok, a relaxed and cheerful city in the north of the country. From here you'll get the opportunity to take an adventure and tick something pretty big off your bucket list. How would you like to feed, bathe and ride an elephant through beautiful rainforest trails? We told you it was big!Another interesting thing about Phitsanulok is its fascinating history and culture. When you're not at the hospital, do as the locals do and grab a tuk tuk and explore the city's ancient temple, Wat Yai, or head down to the night markets and pick up some mouth-watering Thai cuisine. Qualifications
Gap Medics welcomes students aged 16 and over, and students are eligible to join up until their first year of clinical study. Our programs are excellent for current and prospective pre-health students.Internship Types

Weekly features:23+ hours hospital shadowing experience, 3x Global Health Tutorials, dedicated mentor in healthcare, and a unique department/hospital placement.
*Global Health Tutorials address the ethical and practical dilemmas faced by health professionals at each destination.
Core specialties:
Surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, and OB/GYN.
*Additional departments available depending upon destination.
Also included:
Exclusive accommodations, in-house catering, comprehensive pre-departure services, customized online trip planner, in-country support, and arrival airport transfer.

Cost:
Students pay a registration fee of $450 in order to reserve their spaces and gain access to our pre-departure services. The remaining balance (shown next) is due 90 days before their date of travel: $1140 for one week, $1840 for two weeks, $2790 for three weeks, $3740 for four weeks. *Additional weeks available for $950 each.
