Program Description
Interns with AHA will be able to participate in real world positions in the fields of culinary arts, food and beverage, and front office/rooms division. Interns will be placed in leading resorts and hotels across the U.S. including Sheraton, Astoria, and Hilton, among others.
Interns in the Food and Beverage program will be able to learn about the management and daily operations of the field while taking part in a guided learning program. We aim to develop leadership, teamwork abilities, and strength in working in an international environment.
Interns with the Front Office and Rooms Division program will learn about hotel guest services. This includes daily operations and common procedures including conflict resolution, service standards, and working in an multicultural setting.
Interns with the Culinary Arts program will be able to participate in a hands-on experience while learning about the management and operation of culinary departments.

Qualifications
Non-U.S. Citizen18 years of age or older
Proficient in English
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in and actively pursuing studies at a foreign ministerially-recognized degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States, or graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to the internship begin date.
Has either a degree or professional certificate from a foreign ministerially-recognized post-secondary academic institution and at least one year of hospitality work experience, acquired outside the United States; or five years of work experience in the hospitality industry acquired outside the United States.
