Program Description
If you are interested in developing projects geared towards aiding the environment and encouraging tourism, then this might be the project for you. Share your skills with local communities to help them create and build up tourist initiatives.
Belo will benefit from developing sustainable farming practices and developing businesses as a means to mitigate poverty. RUDEC will provide training and support to local farmers on how farm using environmentally friendly techniques including keeping bees so that they can supplement their income and increase their capacity. RUDEC further promotes tree nursery planting and organic farming as a means to continue to build environmental protection. We use some of the revenue generated through a small farm in order to support our Sponsor a Child program. Environmental Interns will help to expand programs for the environment, instruct seminars to teach farmers about farming practices, and provide technical experience and expertise to current projects.

Highlights

- Find avenues for funding in order to develop these initiatives

Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesBackground in farming, development of tree nurseries, crop rotation, low-cost/high yield crops, greenhouse gases, planting and global warming prevention, organic farming methods, sanitation, and/or environmentally friendly farming methods
Preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to facilitate community development projects or training workshops
Knowledge of funding opportunities beneficial
Ability to provide technical expertise to diverse stakeholders
