Sol Abroad: Atenas, Costa Rica High School Program

Program Description

Sol Abroad is a premier high school study abroad and Spanish immersion program. Programs are for students 14 to 18 years of age. The group has their own set of directors who are with the students throughout the experience. Safety in a foreign country is emphasized and students have an incredible experience with us. While abroad in Costa Rica, students live and study in the traditional Costa Rican town of Atenas. Students are paired with our wonderful homestay families and take Spanish classes Monday through Friday morning. On the weekends we highlight the very best that Costa Rica has to offer with overnight excursions to Manuel Antonio National Park and Arenal Volcano. During the weekday afternoons we plan community service and cultural activities. This is the ideal location for studying Spanish and learning about Costa Rican culture!
