The program begins in the city of Nuremburg, Germany where the Nazi Party began their rise to power prior to World War II. Learn about Adolf Hilter’s Anti-Semitic Nuremburg Laws and the horrifying events that followed. Between the years of 1945-1948 this city was home to the Nuremburg Trials, which condemned a great number of Nazi war criminals by an international tribunal, and provided a future precedence of consequences for those who commit war crimes and violate human rights. Make your way over to the bustling metropolitan city of Berlin, where electronic music thrives and Wurst rules the day. Browse the world’s largest open-air gallery displayed on the Berlin Wall, an expression of the city’s transition from the Cold War era to a period of reunification, reconciliation and freedom for all.
Poland is sure to excite the senses with its scenic countryside landscapes, rich historical landmarks and vibrant culture. Enjoy a walking tour of Old Warsaw among the winding labyrinth of streets, completely rebuilt after facing destruction during World War II. The Main Market Square in Old Krakow is a medieval town square surrounded by the country’s history etched into the townhouses, palaces and churches.
